Institute of Physics of Slovak Academy of Sciences is opening one position (IPSAS fellowship) in one of the following areas: nuclear physics, quantum technologies and theoretical superconductivity – EURAXESS link.
Applicants are expected to have strong research experience in one of these fields relative to the length of their research career. The applications (cv, list of publications, research statement, recommendation of mentor) should be submitted before 18/03/2023 to job.fusav@savba.sk. The position is offered for one year (ending at latest on 31/08/2025, minimum of 6 months) with potential extension for another 12 months. The expected salary starts from 1700 eur/month, however, the income depends on the negotiations with the responsible mentor. The selection interviews will take place in the first two weeks of April.
List of potential mentors: Andrej Herzáň, Denis Kochan, Martin Plesch, Mário Ziman. It is recommended to contact (for emails see https://fu.sav.sk/en/about-us/employees/) potential mentors at latest by the end of February. Without their recommendation your application is not complete, thus, will not be considered. Obtaining recommendation is the subject of internal preselection.
Applicants are eligible only if their total employment at IPSAS does not exceed 6 months in the last 3 years (counted from 01/02/2021). There is no age, or gender limitation, neither the preference.
