Research interests:

 high-temperature investigation of thermophysical properties (electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power, thermal conductivity) of liquid metals and semiconductors;
 critical phenomena and phase transitions in liquid eutectic and monotectic metal systems;
 design and development of nanostructured materials;
 design and investigation of new lead-free solder materials;
 investigation of metal-nonmetal transition in disordered systems.
 surface and interface phenomena in multicomponent metal alloys
 correlation between structure and structure sensitive properties in liquid and solid metal alloys
 investigation of surface phenomena in metal melts by electromagnetic levitation

Practical Experience:

 High-temperature experimentation under high-pressure and vacuum conditions
 Experimental technique for simultaneous electrical conductivity and thermoelectric power measurements in a wide temperature range (up to 2000 K) under high pressures (up to 50 MPa)
 Experimental arrangement based on the steady-state concentric cylinder method for the thermal conductivity measurement of liquid metals and semiconductors over a wide temperature range.
 DSC, DTA, XRD measurements
 Investigation of viscosity by the oscillating-cup method
 Investigation of surface tension and density by contact (sessile drop) and contactless (electromagnetic levitation) methods
