Samples - solids (bulks, ribbons, powders) or viscous liquids of ~ 10 - 350 mg mass or up to 100 mm³ 

T, Temperature region, - from 25 ^oC up to 1500 ^oC.

w, Heating/cooling rate - from 0 up to 100 ^oC/min.

Atmosphere – dynamic argon, nitrogen, oxygen, air.

Investigated subjects, generally:

Thermodynamic stability of the samples.

Temperatures of the phase transformations (+/- 2 ^oC).

Heats of the phase transformations (+/- 4 J/g).

Kinetics of phase transformations in the samples.
